At least, I never wanted to be all book-smart. It was never something I wanted.
All I wanted was to be “intellectual” and knowledgeable. Know stuff, read more. Know random trivia. History. Makes life more meaningful.
And be street-smart too. And have real life skills.
Read physical maps. Memorise roads. Languages. Pump petrol. Spot birds. Travelling. Solve problems. Know capitals. Capitals of states. Presidents. Don’t say stupid things (Specifically factually incorrect things).
Football. Who’s who, what’s what.
Be kind to people. Saying thank you when it’s due. Sorry when you’re wrong.
(but of course you know what they say: nice guys, finish last.)
